UN officials, UN African leader China experience accelerates sustainable development process
Xinhua News Agency, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, February 25 (Reporter Zhang Yuliang) The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, said on the 25th that China’s development in the past decades has provided important experience for Africa and hopes that African countries will repositionChina’s experience accelerates the process of sustainable development in Africa.  The sixth African Regional Forum for Sustainable Development opened on the 25th in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe’s tourism industry.At the opening ceremony, Amina Mohammed said that China has made remarkable achievements in areas such as causing severe poverty to the people and has made significant contributions to the achievement of the UN Millennium Development Goals.She hopes that the experiences of emerging markets in African countries will combine 北京桑拿洗浴保健 their economic and social development with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the AU’s Agenda 2063 to promote their sustainable development process.  Amina Mohammed said that African countries generally have made positive progress in promoting sustainable economic and social development, but in general, the African continent is even a considerable distance from achieving the goals set by the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Plan.  She estimates that the total number of poor people in Africa has been increasing since 2013 due to, among other reasons, higher population growth rates.In addition, Africa faces severe food shortages, high unemployment, and severe income inequality.  Zimbabwean President Emerson Mananguwa attended the opening ceremony and condemned Western countries for sanctions 上海夜网论坛 against Zimbabwe.He said those sanctions are affecting the country’s sustainable development process.The people of other countries generally actively use rich resources such as agriculture and mining to implement favorable strategies to develop the economy and meet the challenges brought by climate change in order to accelerate the achievement of the sustainable development goals.  More than 3,000 officials, experts and scholars from various departments of the United Nations and 40 countries in Africa attended the forum.The theme of the forum is “2020-2030: A Decade of Transformation and Prosperity in Africa through the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Agenda 2063”.  The African Regional Forum for Sustainable Development is hosted by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa to promote the pace of sustainable development in African countries and achieve the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as scheduled.
